We had a visit from Horatio this month.
He had a meeting to attend, so he set up other meetings and flew in for a little more than a week. As luck would have it, the visit coincided with our 15th wedding anniversary.
He surprised the boys at school.
After Horatio had been here for a week, the earthquake and tsunami hit Japan. This altered the ship’s plan and therefore altered Horatio’s return trip.
We awaited word, expecting the arrangements to be made on Tuesday and he would fly out on Wednesday. Leave it to the Navy, though… at 3 in the morning on Tuesday, Horatio received his itinerary to depart that day at 1 p.m.
He is now back aboard the ship and helping to coordinate all of the relief efforts in Japan.
